24 Weeks!!

We are at viability stage number 1! Not that these babies are allowed to come any time soon, but it's nice to have a psuedo "safe" feeling!

Had a great appointment this week. Saw the boys, who are now over a pound each. Our goal is 2 five pound babies, delivered at 37 weeks!! The doctor this week was very optimistic that we can make it til the end of Sept/early Oct (I'm still biased toward a Sept delivery, for the oh so pretty Sapphire!) Lucky for me I'm not bleeding/leaking/contracting, which means the doctors have no cause for concern.

He was also very happy with my BP (really...90/60 at 24 weeks?! :-)) and my weight gain. Although, trust me, I feel like a blob! The weight is being distributed different now, so it's definitely taking a tool on me.

The babies are now positioned head over head...so that means all the kicks I'm feeling are from four legs, in the same area!! It makes for a lot of fun!

We do have the nursery painted. Aunt Nikki came down to make sure her nephews had the best looking nursery in town! We are just waiting on the cribs and then we can start hanging up the final touches.

Oh, and big sister Dakota...well she seems to be becoming a tad protective of me. If I move, she moves...and the barking...seriously...those people outside are our neighbors having fun!!! But I'm glad she has a sense of the changes that are coming. She's a great dog, and I know she's going to love the boys and the boys are going to love her!!

22 Weeks and Baby Kicks

Time really is flying. What's up with that?? I want to slow things down, but I want them to be here at the same time! It's funny how that all works. It's really after they arrive that I want time to slow down!!

At 22 weeks, nothing is really all that different. I look pregnant at least, even if I don't feel pregnant most of the time. I am feeling A LOT of kicking, especially Baby A...oh my goodness, he feels like he's trying to kick himself out!! I feel Baby B, but not quite as pronounced. 2 nights ago they were both moving around as I was trying to go to bed!!

One small concern is that Dakota is starting to hover around me more. Not that I mind (who doesn't love puppy kisses!) but I just don't want her to get jealous once the boys are here that I'm not able to give her my undivided attention at all times! Ignoring her isn't easy either!!

In other news, Aunt Nikki is here this week to help out with the Nursery. I really have no design style, so I wanted someone here who at least knew how to make things look good. Of course, given we don't have cribs yet, it's hard to see the nursery come together! We did buy a bunch of Eagles and Phillies gear to help decorate, but it's not nearly enough I'm sure. Hopefully Nikki will have other ideas!!

Slacker Girl - 21 Weeks and 4 Days

I know...I'm been slacking at writing anything, but really, nothing all that eventful has happened since finding out the babies are boys!

That is until this weekend! I've been feeling baby A move since about 20 weeks. He gets especially active after I eat. Well now I can also feel baby B. That happened this weekend while in California for my adorable nephew's baptism. And then on Monday as we were waiting at the airport, I felt full on kicks from baby A. Feeling movement is pretty newsworthy right?!

I have a 21 week picture...it just happens to still be on the camera! I'll upload it sometime!! (I wouldn't want to ruin my slacker image!)
